Total aesthetic procedures increased 14% in 2022 thanks to a 23% jump in nonsurgical procedures, boosted by large increases in infusions, skin treatments, body contouring, and neurotoxins.
Top Surgical Procedures by Age
The top surgical procedures by age in 2022 were:
- Age 17-35: Breast Augmentation
- Age 36-50: Liposuction
- Age 51-70: Liposuction
- Age 71-plus: Blepharoplasty
The most popular age group for surgical procedures in 2022 was 51-70 year olds, accounting for 36% of surgical procedures. The 36-50 age group represented 30%, followed by 17-35 year olds with 27%. Patients over 70 represented 8% of surgical procedures.
